Custom Keyboard Stand
Share

She was split between classic Walnut and White oak, but she ended up deciding to go with the white oak as it matched the rest of her furniture best.
The top of the keyboard stand can be used as a laptop workspace, and with handles on the front, and two sets of hinges, it can be opened up to access the keyboard.
With no prior experience, and working together, she learned to use a wide variety of tools including Miter Saw, Jointer, Planer, Table saw, Festool Domino, Drum Sander, and Orbital Sander. (Did I mention Orbital Sander?)
There was a lot of learning about woodworking, how to use power tools, making mistakes and learning how to fix them. It was really rewarding to see her confidence and excitement grow throughout the project. She was very proud to bring the finished project home, show it off to her friends, and serenade us all at her new keyboard stand.
